INCREDIBLE

everything about this concert was great. There was about an hour or so rain delay but once the gates opened it was operated so smoothly. The staff working was so great, made sure everyone was in their correct seats, no standing in the aisles. It was very clean and I was shocked at how nice the bathrooms were compared to most outdoor venues. As for the music, AMAZING. They cut 49 Winchester for time but Shane Smith was so so good and they even came out and met fans after. Whiskey Myers was phenomenal. Their lineup was every song we could’ve asked for. Will definitely be seeing both bands again for sure!

Great Band, Boring Crowd

Whiskey Myers was amazing and gave an absolute jam session of a show that would rival any top notch southern rock band. They were high energy but still clean and focused on the performance. My only critique of the band would be that Cody is getting a little liberal on his vocal interpretations and changes to their songs. People desperately wanted to sing along, but the way he altered their lyrical rhythms from the studio versions made it quite difficult to do so. That is actually a good segue to my biggest issue with the concert experience, and it in part did contributed to the problem; the boring crowd. The audience was a wide range of age groups and of musical backgrounds. This caused an almost disconnect to the band and a battle among the crowd on whether everyone was going to sit for easy listening, or get up and rock. Over half the crowd acted as if they were at the Grand Ole Opry, while the rest could've been mistaken for being at a Lynyrd Skynyrd show. It was very odd to say the least and I'm sure this heavy mix of a crowd is due to their popularity exploding after being featured heavily on the show Yellowstone. If Whiskey Meyers had gotten everyone singing along, or maybe shortened a couple of the solos, then they possibly could've gotten the energy of the crowd up and over that hurdle. Unfortunately that didn't happen, and it left most of the crowd wanting to stand up and jam, but being told "DOWN IN FRONT!" In summary, I will definitely be seeing them again in the future but I will probably stay with the more intimate shows that only the diehard fans would attend.

Great town, Poor Venue

We have attended many concerts up the road at Laughlin Entreatment Center but we were surprised when we arrived at Harrah’s. It was super small yet packed with thousands of people. The bleachers were portable and beyond small, in fact we had to sit sideways or else our knees would press into the backs of people in front of us. The alcohol lines were a total of 3 for the entire venue. We literally waited 1.5hrs to get in line and at no point was it less than 30 people deep. The music was barely understandable because of the balance of bass and treble. 1/2 way through the show we were annoyed, uncomfortable and thirsty we decided to leave. A big shame as we invested a lot of time and money to attend. We returned to our hotel and had a better time at the cocktail lounge than at the concert. Very disappointed.
